On our last day in Iceland, we drove to the natural rock formation at Dyrhólaey, where we were told we might see puffins. Did we?

There were hundreds if not thousands of young puffins on the cliffs and flying out over or floating in the water, some landing on a rock offshore. Also circling were gulls, hoping for a puffin-snack.

Finally it was on to the Sólheimajökull glacier, where we could walk out along a path that leads to the glacier. While we didn't get right next to it, on our walk back we passed groups of people outfitted for ice climbing that were evidently going there.

On our drive back to Reykjavik, we had to stop at one more waterfall, this one is Skógafoss.
